MA Creative Writing News 2nd March 2018

Welcome to our second update since the anthology. These updates will be published every few months here on the Plume website. If you missed our first update you can check it out here.

Emily Goodman

Emily has had a lot of exciting news since our last news update. Baby Isla was born on the 11.12.17, at 7 lb 5 oz, she and Emily are both healthy and happy 😊

Professionally, one of Emily’s pieces of flash fiction was longlisted for the A3 Review monthly competition. And a short story from her collection has been accepted for publication in the Storgy on-line literary journal. This story was published on the 7th March.

Agent Jon Curzon from Artellus Ltd. approached Emily after the anthology launch, and though he’s not in the market for a short story collection, he has encouraged her to begin work on a novel. So all she needs to do this year is finish editing the collection, write and edit a novel and make sure her children survive their first and fourth years…

Eleanor St Clair

In December she quit her full-time job and is now making a living completely from freelance content writing. It has been a big change but the freedom of working from anywhere has meant she could move home to Wales to help out on her parent’s smallholding for a few months and then spend the rest of the year travelling and working on the move.

If you know of any businesses that need content created for either online or print, please do send them her way!

This also means she has more time to spend editing her novel, which has turned into rewriting the second half.
